U.S. Forces Kill Top ISIS Leader

Who: U.S. forces and ISIS
What: American forces killed a top deputy and finance minister for the militant group ISIS in a raid earlier this month, top U.S. officials revealed.
When: It was announced Friday morning
Where: In Iraq and Syria
Why: U.S. secretary Carter said “We believe these actions have been successful and have done damage,”  and “The momentum of this campaign is now clearly on our side”. Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli, had a role plotting terrorist attacks in addition to overseeing financing of ISIS operations.

Affirmative Action

Who: Women and Minorities
What: It refers to admission policies that provide equal access to education for those groups that have been historically excluded or underrepresented
When: Since 1965
Where: America
Why: Because they didn't want equal access to education for those groups of people. This was an outcome of the 1960's Civil Rights movement. Affirmative action policies often focus on employment and education. Intended to provide equal opportunities for members of minority groups and women in education and employment.

What: A set of beliefs and practices that aims at improving the genetic quality of the human population.
When: Since the 1980s
Where: America
Why: Because it meant that they wanted a "well-born" person with desirable traits. That a person not have genetic defects. Also it m meant that they wanted to improve the genetic quality of the human population. Discouraged people with "bad" genes.

Why: Gun control is good because it helps with safety and controls guns and crime that is associated with guns. Many crimes are committed with guns. Gun control is for our safety. Gun control also can teach us how to be safe with guns.

Where: America 
Why: In many ways gun control is taking away the rights of citizens. Gun control won't solve problems with guns and could possibly make it worse. It also won't stop crime.
